Welcome to the online home of the Bathurst Harvest Festival
The Celebration of Harvest dates back to the times when success of the crops governed the lives of the people. With its roots as a rural community this still to a large part affects the citizens of Bathurst today.
Celebrating Harvest Festivals began in English churches in the 19th century. This led to the long-practised custom of decorating churches with home-grown produce. In past times, when the harvest was in, a celebratory supper was held in which the whole community was invited.
Bathurst, in April, will celebrate harvest time in the Central West with a festival for the senses, showcasing our district’s abundant food and wine, and celebrating our history, and our musical and artistic heritage.
Three wonderful days of indulging ourselves in all that is good about where we live.
A Magnificent Buffet of epicurian events Great food, wine, music, fun & great company
BON APPETIT !!
